Hilda uses nutrient-rich foods, medicinal herbs and exercise to support the body’s innate healing ability. I support my patients in making the lifestyle changes necessary so they can attain the best possible state of health. My treatment plan blends a scientific approach using the latest research with traditional proven and tested techniques. Nutritional Therapy and Phytotherapy offer a natural way to reduce stress, increase energy and bring about healing. They can complement conventional medicine but are often used as an alternative therapy to treat a wide range of diseases.

Phytotherapy uses plant remedies in the treatment of disease. It is the oldest form of medicine known — practiced in many cultures for thousands of years, and even today, by 80% of the world’s population. Whole plants and plant parts are used throughout the world in herbal concoctions. Herbal remedies can be taken in the form of teas, capsules, tablets, extracts or tinctures, which are tailored to the individual, not just his or her symptoms. Herbal medicine’s effectiveness is due to the biological activity of its natural ingredients, chemicals and compounds. Many conditions can benefit from the use of herbal medicine, ranging from a simple common cold to chronic degenerative diseases.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutritional Therapy is a powerful therapeutic tool – based on the evidence of the latest scientific research – helping you to adapt your diet and lifestyle to support optimum health. Without access to abundant, good-quality nutrients our bodies cannot function properly. Unfortunately – for many of us – due to modern lifestyles and food choices, our diets often lack good quality nutrients required for the body’s needs. Modern diets, relying heavily on processed convenience foods, unhealthy snacks and overcooked meals, lack sufficient vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and fiber essential for good health. Using Nutritional Therapy it is possible to make significant health improvements.
